04-18-12 It's Finally Here, the 2012 Collegiate Wake Nationals put on by Empire Wake!! We're so pumped to be one of the main sponsors of the event.
Sponsoring an event in one thing, and always fun, but we've rolled out our crew to Las Vegas for the week, staying in an incredible hotel literally over Lake Las Vegas, and we're ready to rock all week long with our new and old friends. We're fully expecting ASU Wake Devils (Currently ranked #1 in the nation) and Sac State Wake Club (Currently #5) to throw down hard. We can't wait to see what goes down on this lake. For the first time in history Lake Las Vegas is allowing Wakeboarding on it's perfect glassy waters.

COLLEGIATE WAKE CHAMPIONSHIPS
Eight schools from 5 states descend on Lake Las Vegas April 18th – April 22nd to decide who is number 1 in the nation.
Each team spent the fall of 2011 qualifying and preparing for the finals in the newest, hottest wakeboard destination in the country.
This “fountain of youth” spot of Lake Las Vegas has been sought after by some of the greatest in wakeboarding but until now, not one was allowed to enter the lake.
Thanks to the work of Empire Wake, The Aston Hotel and the great staff at Lake Las Vegas, this event was not only made possible, but generated a huge national buzz.
Each team will bring their 8 top riders to compete head to head in a bracket style format until the finals on Sunday April 22nd.
The final 2 teams will ride a best of 2 runs to determine who is the best team of the original 52 that began back in October of 2011.
The Collegiate Wake Championships are free to spectators and begin at 11am each day and end at 5pm. There will be giveaways, raffles, music,
and some special pro riders throwing down for a great show.
Local sponsor Boulder Boats will be on site as the official towboat with Axis Wake.
They are bringing in pro rider Randall Harris to sign autographs and demo for everyone.

We're rocking hard with amazing athletesRobert Absher, Ryan Platt and the ASU Wake Devils, Sac State Wake Club, and Austin Ferguson. We'll have a full summer of events in Arizona with Circus Rail Jams, We've got the Collegiate Wakeboard Nationals in Las Vegas April 18-22, and the the Alt Games Collegiate Wake Championship in Oklahoma in June.
